Microneedling is a fractional ablation skin treatment that leads to increased quality of the skin. When combined with radiofrequency energy, microneedling is an even more effective modality. In the past, full ablation of skin was done, for example with a CO2 laser, and this required long down times and prolonged recoveries of up to several weeks and had a higher risk of unwanted adverse effects. Microneedling fractionally ablates the skin leaving the ablated areas surrounded by islands of unablated tissue which greatly decreases recovery time and risk of adverse side effects. Dr. Hal Wilson of Maxwell Medical Group in Scottsdale, Arizona, offers microneedling combined with radio frequency for your anti aging and skin rejuvenation needs.
